Reviews
This book is painful and hard to get through, not because it's a bad book, but because it's raw and real. The first half is amusing as hell. I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. Wallace is just the kind of asshole character I love. But then things change. They get darker and they hurt. They get far too real, too relatable. I spent the last 4 or so hours crying until the book ended because it hurt so badly. Maybe it's because I have depression and anxiety, too. I heard the warning at the beginning, I knew what I was getting into. Maybe it's because I'm especially vulnerable right now. I don't know. All I know is that this book fucked me up and I don't regret it for a second.
