Oof, Adam messing up so quick. Though, on one hand, I can understand it. He's a lot younger than the guys from the previous books. He's only really had access to his bear for maybe five years [Nash and co mentioned that the twins shifting at 15 was early, implying they likely shifted closer to 16, 17, or 18 and Adam is in his very early 20s]. He hasn't had the time he needs to hold back like the guys from the previous books had.Does that make what happened right? No. But you also can't view this from the perspective of a human situation. Shifters have the added issue of an animal inside them that only knows one thing: instinct. All the beast knew was that they had their mate under them and had to make sure they didn't lose her, leading to the issue we have. Right up until that, everything had been consensual. Adam didn't force himself onto Freya. It was only that one moment that was against her permission, her acceptance and it wasn't something she would have known to stop.Poor Adam may have to sit back on this one and let his brother and friend win her over a bit more so they don't scare her off.
