I am a sucker for Lynette Noni and this book was no different to me.I spent most of last year in a reading slump and even when I got given an ARC in December it still took me a couple of months to crack it open and when I did I went through the whole thing in one straight sitting.Being completely honest, yes there were moments I found myself having to push through when it came to world building and exposition but I'm also the kind of person who doesn't love "world build now, story later". I like story and flashback and explain how things work as we're going.Oh my god and that ending? I loved it, I sat up in bed and actually yelled at it. All in all I would read this again and again and I'm so ready for the next two books. It hit all my tropes, I adored it.
