Reader 2: A Family For Christmas: English As A Second Language

A story about a young man that had lived in an orphanage most of his life. At 18 he was out on his own. Now at 22 he is in danger of losing the place he lives, his job, and being homeless. By the end of the story he will find out that the people he thought had been his family, were not his biological parents. His house mom at the youth home was a mom to him when he was growing up, and he still calls her mom. Just when everything was lost though, there was a light, a potential biological mom and brother he never knew existed. Before the story starts there are questions to think about while reading the story. I wrote the story because of a young person I knew that was in a youth home, and I never found out if he ever got to a real home, or did he become homeless when he grew up.
