View AllThis was a lot different vibe than other PNR vampire romances I have read (and that is a lot - I definitely have a thing for vampires). It had a contemporary, fun vibe, but wasnt rom-com campy either, and I honestly liked it. I enjoyed the supporting characters a lot, especially Roksana, who sort of stole the show for me. How mean everyone (sewing club/humans) was to the FMC was a little over the top and I think unnecessary for the plot, but that is really my only gripe. I could add that I would have liked more info on the vampire world but there are other books in the series so it may be a slow unveil of world building information. Ill hold off on judging plot holes until I get around to the other books.
