Description

Vuk Markovic odeia socializar.

A única exceção? Ela. A bela Ayana Kidane. O foco de sua obsessão.

Ele a viu primeiro. Ele a desejou primeiro.

Mozda cak i najdraza. CRNO I ZLATNO FOREVER BABY

⤿ Reading period: June 02 - June 06, 2025⤿ Rating: ★★★★★“But with Ayana, there was no walking away. No negotiation. She was mine, and I would die before I lost her.”This fifth installment of the Kings of Sin series centers on Vuk and Ayana in a compelling “call off the wedding” billionaire romance. Ayana is set to marry one of New York’s most sought-after bachelors, but their engagement is merely a façade for a business deal. He requires a wife to secure his inheritance, while Ayana hopes to escape her toxic modeling agency with the financial support that marriage would provide. She envisions a straightforward arrangement, planning for a smooth separation after a couple of years. However, everything changes when Vuk enters the scene. Having desired Ayana from the start, he finds himself thwarted by his best friend, who has already made his move. Unaware of the true nature of their engagement, Vuk struggles to conceal his feelings of jealousy and obsession as he watches his friend prepare to marry her. Yet, as Ayana and Vuk grow closer, their undeniable chemistry leads them to reconsider their paths. Will they be able to defy the odds stacked against them?“Because they were getting married.Because I saw her first.Because she was his when she should be mine.” Ana Huang’s books consistently captivate me, and this one is no exception. Her unique blend of diversity and intricate character dynamics sets her apart from many authors. I was completely invested in Vuk and Ayana’s journey, never quite sure when or how they would finally come together. This story pays homage to her earlier work, Twisted Love, featuring morally complex male protagonists and a darker narrative. The intricate workings of the Brotherhood and the betrayals woven throughout the plot kept me on the edge of my seat, making for an exhilarating read.“If you were my fiancée, I wouldn’t look at another woman. Entertainment or not.”Ayana Kidane finds herself ensnared in a faux engagement that feels more like a hostage situation than a romantic commitment. Caught between her unwavering loyalty to her platonic fiancé, Jordan, and the undeniable spark she feels whenever Vuk enters the room, Ayana grapples with her emotions. She is not merely a figure to be desired; she is complex, introspective, and determined to seek the love she truly deserves. Her journey transcends the choice between two men; it is about embracing the reality of love—messy, inconvenient, and profoundly real.“but the majority of her allure for me didn’t rest on her physical looks. it was the way she moved, with a natural grace that couldn’t be taught; it was the way she laughed, so whole-heartedly and joyously that it could chase away the darkest shadows. and it was the way she glowed, like there was a fire inside her that was just waiting to be unleashed.”Vuk Markovic embodies the essence of brooding silence, communicating through intense glances and terse remarks that somehow manage to captivate. Deeply in love with Ayana, he navigates his feelings with a reluctance that speaks volumes about his emotional repression. His loyalty is unwavering, though it complicates his relationship with his best friend, who happens to be Ayana's fiancé. Beneath his tough exterior lies a surprisingly tender heart, one that is shielded by layers of tailored suits, past traumas, and an unyielding resolve.“vanilla, for warmth and comfort. which is what you mean to me.”"She’s a light hidden in shadows, his darkest yearning,Together they burn, caught in a forbidden longing.."Vuk and Ayana are simply everything! I can hardly express how much I adored this book from one of my favorite authors. From the very first chapter, I knew I was in for a treat, and Ana Huang certainly did not disappoint. “King of Envy” has quickly become one of my top picks in the Kings of Sin series, which is saying a lot given how much I enjoyed the other installments. The writing is exceptional, the characters are wonderfully crafted, and the storyline exceeded all my expectations. I have to say, Vuk has completely captured my heart. Ana Huang’s morally gray characters are my absolute favorite, and Vuk is no exception. He possesses such depth, and I’m enamored by his tender side, especially when it comes to Ayana. Their relationship is nothing short of perfection, and I find it challenging to articulate just how much I cherish their dynamic. The chemistry between them is palpable, and both characters feel so real that it’s hard to believe they aren’t. ────୨ৎ────⤷ Thank you for reaching to this point here and I’m really glad and thankful for you, love you ⟡.

I did love this book. The characters were fairly good, however, the storyline seemed a bit too predictable n it seemed like the characters were lacking chemistry.
