Sometimes less is more, and that was definitly the case with this book. The yerning was so overdone it became cringe. Also I cant be the only one who thought tht Rosabelle was sort of infantalised. Like I get that its sort of a common trope to have a character whos very closed off and vulnerable and confused by this strange new world, but at times her portrayed sort of made me uncomfortable. Like the whole cat costume thing, and the repetition of "shes not wearing underwear" and James fantasizing about her whilst shes asleep or malnurished and small and weak, it all just gave me the ick. I yearn for a strong FMC but atm Rosabelle is just not it and its sort of frustrating.I still loved the book bc I love the shatter me universe and all th OGs but if I hadn't audiobooked this on, I think I would've struggled to finish it. The plot was bland, James and Rosabell were bland, nothing was happening.I loved watch me, but this one sort of feels like a filler book that could've been shortened into literally one chapter. That being said, I still enjoyed it and I will be picking up book 3 !!
