Description

She's about to say "I do", and like any bride-to-be, Pam has a serious case of the pre-wedding jitters. They're bad enough to send her fleeing away from Rob, her future husband, and on the road to the one place she knows she can kick back and breathe - her grandmother's house.

Trusting in the blunt - and often downright shocking - honesty of her beloved Grandma, Pam spends some relaxing hours listening to reminiscences of days long ago and lovers long gone. The tale that unfolds is laugh-out-loud funny, poignant and occasionally downright erotic, but beneath the humor, the passion and the emotional upheaval of lust-filled lovers is a message. In between giggling like crazy, blushing and reaching for her cold drink, Pam begins to understand.

Thanks to her Grandma's tale of Kris and Dave, their thwarted attempts at passion, and their determination to do the deed, Pam learns something that helps her come to terms with her own future. Guided by the wisdom of a woman who's been there, done that and done it again, several times, the bride sheds her fears, accepts her uncertainties as normal - and rediscovers her feelings for Rob.

It's a simple lesson, really. Life is what you make it. Lust and laughter are important in any relationship and especially in a marriage, but what lies at the core - what acts as the foundation for everything else - is love. Maybe someday, Pam will pass on that concept to her grandkids. They'll sit around her and hear her say "I remember when..."
