Description
Cinematic in its vividness, Tom Russell's debut short story deftly weaves together themes of family ties, death and secrecy. Written from the perspective of an adult child returning home to engage in the "liturgical progression" of his mother's terminal illness, Removal pierces the core of how families function (or malfunction) under duress.
