Description

In a world where appearances can be deceiving, Carrie navigates the complexities of her identity, feeling misunderstood by those around her. She struggles with the weight of others' perceptions, grappling with a life that often feels scripted and far removed from her true self. As she pushes against societal expectations, Carrie finds herself entwined in a web of rebellion and self-discovery, challenging the norms that confine her.

Amidst this tumult, Carrie encounters a tumultuous yet exhilarating journey of self-acceptance. The story unfolds as she faces both internal and external conflicts, re-evaluating her relationships and redefining what freedom truly means. Through grit and resilience, she learns that embracing her authentic self requires more than merely breaking rules—it's about forging a new path entirely. Carrie's evolution becomes a powerful testament to the fight for individuality, even when the stakes are high.

Dash and Carrie were introduced in Riot House, and Dash certainly wasn't on my good list, he broke Carrie's heart and he deserved payback... or so I thought!!!But this story starts with Carrie's past and boy doesn't it start with a bang... Ms Hart certainly paints a dark setting where my assumptions from book One were turned upside down. This book was not what I was expecting at all and I was just held captive by the storyline. I'd mention more But then I would spoil it for you. Riot Rules is the second book in the Crooked Sinners series, but it can be read as a standalone, as well as in conjunction with the other books in the series. I'm 50/50 on whether it's Best to read Riot House first, in fact I want to re-read book 1 now I have another side of the events that transpired in the end of book 1.Callie Hart has a great talent for creating a Dark romance to that has a reader enthralled with the plot and routing for the anti hero, Dash is a bad boy with a capital B but it seems Carrie has the key to unlock the good guy hidden inside, there's a bit of a twist in the story that has me wanting to re-read my first ever book by Callie... those who have read this May have spotted a character from the past also.Well done Callie in creating a series that brings more than just the expected , but gives the reader mystery, suspense and of course the Romance that's hard fought for.
