It was good, but not in a "can't put it down" sort of way. It took a while for me to see where things were going. The two main characters are hard to differentiate. I kept forgetting who was who. I'll tackle the second one soon.

I absolutely loved this book! The banter between Royce and Hadrian is so good, like best friends!

It’s really a disservice to this series to be reading it after Brandon Sanderson, because otherwise I would have loved it. It’s a good story, great characters, pacing is also quite enjoyable - I will definitely be continuing my journey through this realm.
