Description
As police begin to piece together the puzzle, they realize the sinister motive behind the murder is rooted deeply in the psychology of fear. The killer is not just seeking revenge; they manipulate their victims and their families, forcing them to confront their deepest anxieties. Intricately woven with suspense, each twist unveils the lengths to which people will go when they are pushed to their limits, exposing raw human emotions and the fragility of trust.
Mark Billingham masterfully crafts a narrative that immerses readers into a web of tension and paranoia. The chilling atmosphere combines with complex character dynamics, making the hunt for the murderer as much about unraveling personal demons as it is about solving the crime. This gripping exploration of fear, betrayal, and the darkest facets of human nature leaves readers questioning not only who the killer might be, but also how well they truly know the people around them.

View AllI did not like much at all. Billingham seem to be under the impression that lots of bad language sum up your typical British policeman. No it doesn't. (the one Jack Frost novel I read has the same problem). Thorne needs a major rework for TV and a better actor to play him.
