Description

Today we speak of Science as if it were a revered authority, almost a god. We say, “Science proves this,” or “Science has shown that.”

The word science comes from the Latin word scire, which means to know. Science means knowledge. But what we call science is really less than actual knowledge; it is only what we think we know.

While science has an impressive record of being right, it has an equally impressive record of being wrong. A common saying is that at any time in human history, half of what we know is right and half is wrong; the problem is, we never know which half is which.

There’s nothing really bad about this. Science is and should be endless discovery – an ongoing, fascinating effort to break out of error.

The Bible, however, has an impressive record of being right, and no record of being wrong. Therefore, a truly scientific person would hold the Bible in higher esteem than Science. This book proves that to hold Science in higher esteem than the Bible is a very unscientific position to take.
