Found it kind of hard to get into it at the beginning but once you get into the main storyline it is quite good.
I picked up this book (thinking it was a duology to be sad when I realized it wasn't and I would have to wait for the series to be fully released) but I loved it!I wasnt sure what to expect but this was an amazing read. There are witches, a great magic system, witch hunters and of course, enemies-to-lovers. All good things I enjoy in my books.The world building wasnt intimidating but it was flushed out nicely.The humor of the characters was very familiar and I loved them.

3.0 I was really looking forward to it, but it's kinda of disappointed because I have high expectations, but not only did it smash those expectations to bits , it, but also buried the bar in the floor. How've it was an okayish read because I did consider DNFing it. Of course, I am not reading the rest of the series. The enemies could have had so much banter and tension, but no, there was hardly any.
Did a reread of this book so I could remember what the heck was going on and finish the series.Still a good book, Lou was as funny as ever. One thing I didn’t enjoy was the audio - my library doesn’t carry all the ebooks of this series, but they have all three on audio. The male narrator doesn’t really sound right for Reid. Let alone sometimes he’s talking fast and other times, there were unnecessary breaks between words. Hopefully I can actually continue with the series and not drop it out of irritation for the narration.
