View AllIt was fairly well written. But the characters didn't seem real enough. Like they were only good or bad. I will definatly be investing in the grishaverse though.
As the opening book of the series, it was a compact and good start; but there wasn't much unique creativity in the storyline. However, I really like the atmosphere of Ravka and their cultural vibe, the inspirations taken from Russian culture and environment are truly beautiful to me.
