Juliette is still reeling from Warner's betrayal, and Kenji is trying to balance his friendship with her with his responsibilities as a leader of the resistance against the Reestablishment. Things get even more interesting when an unexpected person from Omega Point’s past surfaces. It was nice to finally see everything from Kenji's perspective. Always trying to keep positive for other people even when he doesn't feel like being positive. This novella was full of Kenji’s signature sass and big heart. We also got to see more of Kenji's sensitive side and how much pressure he's under. He's literally the glue holding the group together but no one seems to ever check up on how Kenji's actually doing and that makes me sad. He's such a cinnamon roll just wanting to please everyone and make sure everyone's okay. Honestly his friendship with Juliette is goals. He's so supportive of her and she listens to him when he finally feels comfortable enough to open up.
