Description

In high school, Shiloh and Cary were the pair everyone expected, but for Shiloh, things weren’t that simple. She’s always been the one to keep her feelings locked away, and even as the world anticipated a fairy-tale ending, she grappled with her own reality. With time, the familiar halls of their past echo stories of missed chances and unspoken words.

Now, years later, Shiloh finds herself reflecting on what might have been. Amid the bittersweet nostalgia, she begins to question whether it’s ever too late to rewrite their story. Warm friendships and heartfelt moments light her path as she navigates these complicated emotions.

As she explores the beautiful mess of love and friendship, a glimmer of hope shines through the doubts. Will Shiloh find the courage to embrace what her heart truly desires? Perhaps this time, it’s not about the destination but the slow dance of rediscovery.

Honestly, I struggled to finish this book. The alternate timelines felt pointless, especially the 'before' narrative, which left me unsettled. It wasn't cringeworthy, but rather, it felt like unnecessary repetition without any meaningful growth or depth in the present storyline. Shiloh's character infuriated me - while I understood her struggles, her lack of development and growth was frustrating. Unfortunately, I didn't connect with any of the characters on an emotional level. Overall, it was an 'okay' read for me, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.
