I'm so glad I got this for free through Kindle First Reads and didn't pay for it. The writing is good but the story isn't. Part 3 comes out of nowhere and makes no sense at first, just randomly introducing new characters. Tells us a shocking piece of information, but it's a surprise out of left field because there was no build up to it. Part 1 is slow and just drags on and on. It's only a 220 page book which is the only reason I finished it, I felt ridiculous abandoning such a short book. The ending wasn't even that shocking, I guessed it earlier. It also needed an intro that connected the diary to part 3. So many issues with this book.
