Description
What a child she had been! What an idiot child! Her mother had told her there were men with strong arms and soft black hair who were just out for a good time, and she'd found one.
With her new dress, her new face, and her new name—Crystal Bell—Jane had to admit she had been looking for adventure before she was shut up in a boring little box as Howard's wife forever. She had run away looking for—what? Well, she would not go back. She would find it. She was going from Quincy, Illinois, all the way to sunny St. Croix. And she would not be a child next time...not if she found herself in Tom Nelson's arms again.
