I loved these novellas so much and would definitely recommend to everyone. I loved the 'Women In STEM' representation and the different types of tropes that each couple represents too. I also loved that the stories interlink as they focus on the female love interests and their friendship as well as the romances with the male love interests.
I hate books like these but I just need a breather from the Harry Potter series.
I devoured 'Stuck with You' by Ali Hazelwood in one sitting, and it was the perfect blend of romance and fluff. The two protagonists stole my heart, and their love story was beautifully told. I highly recommend this quick and delightful read to anyone looking for a lighthearted romance.
rating: 3.75/5★I wish this book was a 300 pages to get more of them because I really like it, that's why I didn't give it like a 4 stars.⟡
It was cute and short just like a novella should be. Really liked it I might pick up more of Ali Hazelwoods books
tinha tanto potencial pra ser um livro normal.gostei da história dos dois, da coisa de roubar clientes que poderia render muito. no geral foi mediano
This book was definitely steamier than the last novella! The back and forth between past and present was a really fascinating twist.Premise: Sadie is working for a new company in New York. She is very superstitious and while getting a croissant in preparation for a pitch, she meets Erik Nowak. The love connection is instant, resulting in a romantic dinner and a spicy night together. However, shortly after their hookup, it seems that Erik betrayed her professionally. As a woman in STEM, Sadie is used to being slighted but she did not expect this betrayal from Erik, especially not after their undeniable connection. Now they are stuck on an elevator together after a power outage. Will the close proximity and silence be enough to crack them both into finally giving each other the truth? The truth that could either push them further away from each other or even closer together...I really enjoyed that we start in the present and go back and forth to the past. It makes for a quicker read because you desperately want to know what happened between the characters. I enjoyed this one a little more as a novella because I felt like the past/present timeline went well with less than 200 pages. However, Hazelwood does leave the ending up in the air enough that there could be more written about these characters in the future. This novella is definitely steamier than the last, with some scenes very specific and detailed. I enjoyed this but be warned. I also thought that I wouldn't like the whole "miscommunication trope" but I think because of the past/present switches, it read better for me. Overall, a really great reading experience!
2.5No sé si sea porque estoy en bloqueo, pero me aburrió mucho.
⭐️2While their quirky, nerdy 'banter' and overall interactions were painfully awkward, stilted, and unfunny, to me, Sadie and Erik had clear chemistry and undeniable attraction. Similar to Mara and Liam, I didn't fall in love with Sadie and Erik as a couple. I found Erik to be relatively bland and flat male interest, and Sadie quite whiny and irritating. Furthermore, she was utterly unlikable, immature and unbearable. You are a grown adult. Stop making assumptions and relax. You need to wear your big girl pants, use your words, and talk to Erik. Do not run away from the issue and accept responsibility. Miscommunication is a trope that really grinds my gears. The sheer number of times I rolled my eyes at Sadie was both astonishing and hysterical. For me, the smut scenes were disappointing and truly lacklustre and did nothing to enhance the book. As with Under One Roof, this novella isn't terrible, in fact, I'd say it's more tolerable than Under One Roof, but far from stellar. Again, I found the only highlight of this novella to be how short it was.
