Description

I was a bit hesitant to start this book as the series was really popular and the the series is ling but I don't regret ANYTHING. I Sarah J. Maas' writing so much. It's so lush and the worldbuilding and characters are so unique and written so well! There was a bit of a love triangle forming but chat it turned out fine. It got me stressed because the only experience I have with love triangles is lightlark which was absolutely ridiculous but both the boys are so sweet and I genuinely love them both so much (I do love chaol a 👌 more). I am so excited to continue reading the series!
3.75 ☆'sI'm finally on my TOG journey, buddy reading with two book besties.I was nervous/excited as I am with a lot of book series' that get a lot of hype from others. The way I felt about this one was very similar to how I felt reading ACOTAR. The first part seemed to be a bit slow, it held my attention, was nice enough, but didn't excite me. The middle started to interest me a little more, the story start to pick up as it was progressing, making me wonder at what certain parts would mean in the bigger picture. The final section however, is where I really started enjoying it. There was more action, I was really taking note of every detail as I pulled them apart trying to work them into each of my theories.Overall I enjoyed the short chapters, making it easier to read as much or as little as I had time for. I liked the good range of new characters to love or hate, as well as the storyline within this book, and the potential for what could be in store next. Although I didn't love this one, I can appreciate it as the first published by this author and it has got me excited for what comes in the next book.
