This was a buddy read with 2 of my best good friends :)4.5OMG Declan is just the perfect MMC in my opinion. Now while I do love Iris and I really do she just misses the top spot for fave FMC in this series to Zahra but Declan in my top MMC in this series by far.While the fake marriage troupe isn't one I usually enjoy. This one was so fun and enjoyable and Iris's interactions with Declan were perfect. He needed someone that wasn't afraid of him. Now why she isn't in my top spot is because Declan really tried to open up to her even when you could see how uncomfortable it made him. I love the things he did for her that she didn't know about when she was just his assistant. To me that showed he cared for much longer than he was willing to admit.The other thing I loved in this book was Iris's friendship with Cal, Declan and Rowan's brother. They had such a sibling relationship and it was so cute seeing Declan get jealous over Cal doing things with Iris lol.Now the conflict at the end was completely avoidable by both Declan and Iris if they had just communicated. That bit is what knocked it down from being a 5 star. There was other ways to cause conflict and for me this one was done in a way I don't think either character would have done at this point in the book.I would highly recommend this book, after reading Fine Pint obviously lol
You know a book is good when you feel sad because it ended. I loved everything about this, their secret little words, how she stands up for her self, how he admits his wrongs and grovels. Just ugh I love it so much and I was lucky enough to meet lauren and have it signed before I read it. I'm so glad I did because I loved it just as much as I thought I would.
Banter! Swoony! Grumpy!I have loved everything I've read from Lauren Asher and this is no different. The banter in this book is second to none. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Declan and Iris. I put off reading this one thinking it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but boy was I wrong. It blew them away! Everything about this book was absolutely wonderful! From the plot to the character development to the side characters, everything was smooth and effortless. And can we talk about how swoony the grovelling is?!

Oh good I don’t know where to start with this one … this book was really interesting in soo many ways, Declan was really a dick in many situations to many people including to himself , he’s character development was cute and touchy he care sooo much about her more than what he thinks even from the beginning, and Iris ugh what can i say about her … she’s soooo cute and lovely and sweet and a lot of beautiful things but her loyalty to Declan was something questionable to me like … is that normal thing? to agree being involved in this complex situation with all this shitty family drama and issues, put this all on the side … it was okay to her that will be a child involved in this game? i know she tried her best to make sure the kid will get his/her right with a “ cool parents “ as she said before, i really questioned a lot of her behavior as a trust thing but somehow i get to see her point , the book made me giggling and kicking my feet but after a long way ngl but i enjoyed every single moment of it can’t wait to read Cal’s book

5.0 I am very very very very stingy with 5 stars but just because this book had Declan deserves 5 stars. It was just amazing and the extended epilogue was worth it.
Love this book so much, I love this series so much and I just can't wait to read the next book. The way they all follow similar themes but are so different in they're own way makes them so brilliant!

i started this not really liking declan that much, honestly. but towards the end, i will started understanding why he is the way he is. the last 30% really sold me that i love him! i do admit, i loved every scene with cal so i am SO excited to read his book later this month. but i LOVED iris SO much. she is such a badass queen!!! i loved that she stood her ground when she needed to. they both had so much growth both separately and together, it was beautiful. the epilogue was super cute & made me tear up.
