Description

In a future where humanity's survival hangs in the balance, one hundred teenagers are sent from a devastated space station back to Earth, a planet long abandoned due to catastrophic conditions. With only their wits and limited supplies, they must navigate the treacherous terrain of a world that has changed drastically, teeming with both unfamiliar threats and the remnants of their ancestors' lives.

As they descend, their hopes for a fresh start quickly turn complicated by underlying rivalries and power struggles among them. Each character carries their own burdens and histories, leading to alliances that shift as rapidly as the unpredictable landscape around them. Friendships blossom amidst the chaos, yet secrets from the past threaten to unravel their fragile connections.

Stripped of the comforts of technology, they are forced to reevaluate their definitions of civilization, morality, and what it means to be human. The challenges they face—survival, trust, and leadership—force them to confront not only the dangers of their environment but also the demons that dwell within.

As the narrative unfolds, the teens discover that the greatest threats may not be the wilds of Earth but the fears and desires that lurk in their hearts. Their journey becomes not just one of survival, but also a quest for identity and belonging in a world that seems both alien and eerily familiar.

the only reason i give it 5 stars is because it actually helped me get out of a reading slump and for that, i'm really grateful. i ordered the next three so i'm super excited to read some more!

I'm kind of mad?I mean the idea behind the book is pretty great and interesting but i did not like the writing at all .All i can think about is that this book had the potential to be so much more. And i just hated the fact that the Main female character was going back and forth between two guys? I mean she thought that she was one of the first human to walk on earth in hundreds of years and she was mostly thinking about wether to be with guy number 1 or guy number 2.

As someone who typically always enjoys the book over a film adaptation, I was disappointed when reading The 100. I couldn’t help but laugh while reading the book because I couldn’t stop think about how different the book is from the series. It was as if writers of the Tv series reading the back of the book then threw it in some corner to gather dust. I defiantly enjoyed the tv series way more than the books. When I picked up the book I was expecting an book about trying to survive on Earth after the apocalypse, but instead I was faced with a boat load of romance. (It was like, Oh No not enough food?!?!? Whatever, we can survive on love alone!!!! Uh oh, some dangerous mystery disease?!?!? Who cares as long as they have each other!!) Any interesting or thrilling parts of the book were overshadowed by the shit ton of romance being shoved down our throats. Yet for some reason, I still enjoyed parts of the book, but I would recommend that anyone who wants to read the book and watch the series, read the book first as to not be as disappointed as I was while reading the book. In my opinion, the tv show was way better with much better characters and a more interesting plot.
