Description

Faith Holland's return to her hometown is anything but smooth. Coming back after a painful dismissal from her wedding plans, she finds herself navigating a whirlwind of mixed emotions. The memories of her past relationships linger in the quaint streets, making it hard for her to let go and embrace the changes that life has to offer.

Yet, as she reconnects with old friends and faces the ghosts of her previous engagements, she stumbles upon an unexpected companion. A man she once overlooked now catches her attention, presenting a refreshing perspective on love and partnership. Their budding relationship challenges Faith's preconceived notions about romance, leading her to question what she truly desires from life and love.

As the town buzzes with wedding preparations and playful banter, Faith comes to realize that sometimes the most meaningful connections arise in the least expected moments. In her quest for happiness, she discovers that love can often be found in places she never thought to look.

I think this the second book I've read by Kristen Higgins, and it is in keeping of what I remember of the last one. This was a quick and easy read, with a few twists and turns.I found a beginning a bit much and there were a few spots a little drawn out but otherwise it was an enjoyable book. Faith and Jeremy were high school sweethearts and after college they head down the aisle, only to have Jeremy's best friend convince him that this is time to come out of the closet. Faith is devastated and leaves town for the big city. A few years later Faith returns for a longer visit, who does she run into but now Chief Cooper, Jeremy's BFF Levi. There is little love loss between the two ... until the sparks fly. I give this book 3 1/2 stars, it's quaint and a bit cliche.
