Description

Lewis Carroll’s collection showcases the whimsical and imaginative world that he created, highlighted by his best-known works. “Alice in Wonderland” captures a young girl's adventures as she navigates through a peculiar realm filled with talking animals and confounding logic. The story invites readers to ponder the absurdities of life, resonating with both children and adults alike.

“Through the Looking Glass” continues Alice’s journey, depicting an alternate universe where she encounters a host of curious characters, from the enigmatic Red Queen to the charming Humpty Dumpty. This sequel expands the boundaries of imagination further, offering a tapestry of wordplay and philosophical musings that challenge the norms of storytelling.

In addition to Alice's tales, the collection contains “The Hunting of the Snark,” a nonsensical quest filled with bizarre creatures and absurd situations, along with “A Tangled Tale” and “Phantasmagoria,” which further illustrate Carroll’s mastery of playful language and surreal imagery. Each piece, beautifully illustrated by John Tenniel and Henry Holiday, invites readers to escape reality and revel in the charm of Carroll's unique perspective on life and language.

I don't remember this book whatsoever, but I am glad I reread it. It is definitely something different. I don't know. Just from this small memory that I have of this book. I assumed it was completely different than what I got.
