3.5This was a buddy read with one of my best good friends :)This is the final book in the Bone Collector series/duet.Now while I still very much enjoyed this story and the pacing there was just a few things that stood out to me that the first book did better. Now in the first book DS Etta Fitzroy's character was intriguing with an edge I enjoyed reading yet in this one her character felt not only unnecessary but also made things worse in some situations. There were also a few unanswered questions as well as plot points that weren't addressed that made the ending a little flat. Now that being said I did still enjoy it I just think certain aspects could have been done better.

Wasn't *quite* as strong for me as the first book, but it was great nonetheless. I love that Fiona Cummins doesn't rely on a huge twist or keeping us in the dark to suddenly reveal something surprising to make her books good. She just develops tension and trusts that what she's writing is intriguing enough. And it is.
