4.5/5 estrellasSe qu muchos prefieren quedarse con los primeros tres libros, hacer como que estos no existen pero yo lo ame.Me encanto todo el desarrollo de Eadlyn, como va rompiendo ese caparazón que se creo, como fue encontrando el amor. Lo unico que espero es que Madrid no tenga nunca un final feliz.
⭐️ 2.25Meh, I don't know how I went from loving ‘The Selection' and giving it 4 stars to just not giving a toss about the series, but I'm kind of glad I'm finally done with it. It was so much fun at the beginning, but I just never connected with Eadlyn or really cared about her, and that definitely affected my overall enjoyment. I just felt indifferent the whole time, and reading from her perspective felt more like a chore than something I actually enjoyed.Just like the previous book, ‘The Heir’, this one was honestly a drag to finish.How do I feel about the ending and who she picked? I'm fine with it. I can see why he was the final choice, especially after this book. He was actually my second pick, but I'm still not heavily invested in the pairing, it was just fine.Like I said in my ‘The Heir’ review, I honestly kind of wish Kiera Cass had ended the series with ‘The One’.
I loved this extension of the Selection series and liked that they included multiple links to the previous series. Such as Gavril, Marlee and obviously America and Maxon. I would recommend this duology but it wasn't as good as the first trilogy. It was still good to read however I did want the friends-to-lovers trope with Kile.
