View AllThe book definitely has that 'middle book syndrome' feeling in terms of its pacing. However, i love the heart and love Rosell puts in to his works. Leiyn is a good protaganist and whilst similarly to The Last Ranger (Book #1) some of the side characters need more attention, i do think this is a worthy successor and a step in the right direction for the series.
Its not quite as good as The Last Ranger but it really isn't far off. I'm looking forward to reading book no.3 in the series; The Hidden Guardian.
