Reviews
"Hating someone feels disturbingly similar to being in love with them."This book was ok I guess. I don't usually love romance novels and considering it was my first adult book in the romance genre. I also saw many reviews saying they love this book so I did have a little bit of a high expectation whilst reading it. The Hating Game was pretty funny and was really cute. It was like watching a rom-com being unfolded. The tension in this book between Lucy and Josh was massive as well. Yes, The Hating Game is pretty predictable, but it is very entertaining and funny.
I loved it! The slowburn was great. Loved the epilogue!
Am not a big romance reader at all...Just check out my reading history and you will know. But this was just cute ^.^I love both Lucy and Josh. I think I might come back to this book in the future.
They are so cute. Chapter 25 & 26 are sex! The movie was pretty close to the book but the extra banter made it all the better. They ended on a romantic ending I was screaming.
Feb '22. First time rereading this book. I don't even remember what my first rating was 😂 but I do think I enjoyed reading this time more than I did before.
THIS BOOK. Honestly I just want to start over from page one (minute one? Idk, the point is, I listened to the audiobook) and experience it all over again. There's not much that I can say about this book that hasn't been said already. Romance is not my usual genre, but there is NO BETTER TROPE than "totally hate/secretly love" OR "oh gosh there's only one room and we're going to have to share." The Hating Game takes the best of both tropes and wraps them up in warm, soft, fluffy blanket. Is it too much for me to say this book is perfect? Well, TOO BAD. It is. It's so, so perfect. I just want to cry about Lucy and Josh for the rest of the day. I can definitely see myself returning to this book again and again.
