The Inclusive Dictionary-Concordance

The Inclusive Dictionary-Concordance contains a selection and combination of the Holman "Helps to the Study of the Bible," known to so many readers of the "Holman Bibles," thoroughly revised so as to bring the material in line with the most recent knowledge. For the greater convenience of the reader and student, the information given in the various alphabetical lists of the "Holman Helps" has been rearranged in a single alphabetical order, so that any subject about which information is desired may be instantly found in its proper alphabetical place without the necessity of referring to an Index or of search in a Table of Contents. The descriptions of Oriental persons, places, and things which render a Bible Dictionary rather of the type of an Encyclopedia are to be found here, each in the natural place according to the alphabet; and wherever it is of value to the reader cross-references are given to other places in the Dictionary-Concordance. Many of the illustrations are those with which the users of the "Holman Helps" have been familiar in the other editions. But very many new ones have been added from various sources, reproduced by permission, and nothing has been included which is not as authentic as is possible in the present state of Biblical knowledge. A series of full-color maps verified and authenticated by some of the best-known and most exact Bible scholars is included in this volume.
