loved how the story played out the writing was easy to follow and the story kept me on my toes.

I really enjoyed this series but I prefer it as a trilogy. I also kind of wanted Toby to be Avery's dad and was disappointed when he wasn't.
This. Book.This book was sooo good! I was told it was good, but I still underestimated it. I devoured it, desperate to get to the next part.Not knowing who could be trusted or where the next twist, cliffhanger, or gasp worthy moments would be coming from made this an absolute pleasure to read.When I finished I did slam it closed and yell "I knew it" but I didn't actually know, just knew that person was involved in some way 🤣I'm terrible at puzzles, but I did enjoy trying to solve the mysteries as the story progressed.I loved the chracters, the boys were fantastic, eachnin their own way. Avery and Libby's sisterly connection was so familiar it was very welcome.I cannot wait to move onto book two next month and continue the Hawthorne storyThank you to @instabooktours and @penguinplatform for letting me join in on this read along and providing me with the gifted copy.
Great plot and world building, the ending kinda fell flat for me, but I was a little busy when I listened to it.
I can't believe it took me this look to try and read this series again. It didn't diappoint, there were some teists i didn't expect. There some that i did expect but still was so good and i enjoyed the thrill and the mystery of the story.
As a person that never reads mystery, it had me hooked from page one until the end of the series. The characters are all well written and the first person view is just a cherry on top. I hope that everyone else reading this book enjoys it too, as it is now one of my favorite books to tell my friends about.
Absolutely gorgeous. One of the best books I read in 2025 and I talked about it so much, everyone around me already knows the ending. Shocking plot twists, hot romance, and a mystery that will cause you to never want to look up from the pages.
3.5No sé como hacer esta reseña. Hay momentos en los que los capítulos me parecían puro relleno de la protagonista yendo de un sitio a otro y cuando creí que podía pasar algo con el interés amoroso se terminaba (que sean tan cortos es molesto, habría dado para mas evolución entre alguno de los chicos y eso que no me gusta que el romance sea tema principal). Pensé en abandonarlo pero 300 páginas después se puso interesante. El "triángulo" amoroso aunque no fue desagradable tampoco me emocionó, siento que fue un insta lover sin sentido, sin química o tensión mas que por pura conveniencia de la historia.Punto a favor creo que podrían ser los hermanos. Quizá no vayan a ser personajes que se queden grabados en mi memoria pero disfruté leerlos. Nash y Xander los mejores con diferencia.
4.5 starsokay hello the twists? im def more of a naturals girlie (I fear no one will beat michael and dean as love interests) but I liked Jameson and Grayson too. I think Xanders my fave tho even tho hes for sure not a love interest. 😵💫 This was def a fun read and my jaw was on the floor multiple times. part of that could be bc I rarely read mystery/thriller tho so the twists always get me HA. anyway can I please inherit a fortune and pretty rich boys living in my house? thanksss 🫶
