The first half was interesting but the second half just lost me. There wasn’t any plot twists or surprises, but was still kind of unbelievable and unrealistic. I’m usually fine with suspending belief if the payoff is worth it, but I didn’t like what it all led to and hated the way it ended. I would definitely consider it more of a mystery and/or drama than a thriller whatsoever. Even the characters felt bland and boring. Apparently, it’s been adapted into a TV series with Jennifer Gardner as the lead. Maybe it plays out better as a show.

It left me shook at the end.

3.5 but rounded up for GR"The Last Thing He Told Me" is a page-turner! Although not your typical heart-pounding thriller, it is a gripping domestic drama that'll tug at your heartstrings. The use of alternating timelines adds a layer of intrigue and suspense to the story.I was immediately sucked into the story. The complex relationship between Hannah and Bailey is a rollercoaster of emotions, and watching their bond blossom is both heartwarming and suspenseful. While I loved the book's strengths- I did feel like the pacing slowed down a bit in the middle. The ending was both satisfying and bittersweet. It wrapped up the story in a way that felt natural while leaving room for interpretation.Overall, "The Last Thing He Told Me" is a thought-provoking and well-written novel that'll leave you wanting more.
