Description
I follow a very simple formula when it comes to my nutrition and my diet and that is the fundamentals of healthy eating; balancing quality sources of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats to meet a specific number of calories each day based on my basal metabolic rate (BMR) and my total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). Yours would be individual to you and meet your needs based on those two elements.
Many nutritionists or those in the fitness industry will advocate that in order to satisfy those two factors, you should have a diet high in carbohydrates; others still recommend a diet high in protein or fat.
Whilst any nutritional plan should be specific to you (there may be some of the foods highlighted for example that you have an allergy for or cannot take for medical reasons) the basic principles that I follow – and the information and recommendations that are contained in this guide – are suitable and safe - for the majority of people.
