Ever have that shiver run down your spine just before something was going to happen. That feeling just woke me from the usual daze of scanning the instruments and the ever graying sky outside in the cold winter sky. I don't know about you, but I have learned by hard experience that when this happens, watch out.
The sky often requires hard decisions. Far more than the sea it can be unforgiving of carelessness. It is almost never a single mistake which dooms a flight, but, in most cases, it is a long, unbroken chain of errors which leads to a loss. Often, it is not the lack of error that tells, rather it is the error corrected which saves the day.
Like an unforgiving taskmaster, the sky waits.
