Roger Williams, author of singularity classic The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect , returns with the first print edition of universe-spanning The Mortal Passage Trilogy. When a series of climate disasters wipe out humanity, the machine intelligences left behind decide that a planet is an unsafe habitat for any living species. But the unpredictable humans they resurrect have their own ideas on the subject. Who will ultimately decide humanity's place in the universe -- humans themselves or the machines they created?
