Over a million American families know and love and constantly use the McCall's Cookbook in one of its various editions. Yet so much has happened in the world of food since 1973, when the last version was published, that the editors of McCall's decided to revise the book.

The New, Revised and Updated McCall's Cookbook has in it many of the old favorites of McCall's fans. These recipes have been tested, retested, and improved upon over the years. They are interested in nutrition, in international cuisine, in calorie reduction, in using excellent and fresh ingredients.

The recipes in this book reflect these concerns. The McCall's editors know, for example, that people now eat fewer desserts, but that when they do have a sweet, they want it to be very special-- a luscious treat instead of a daily nibble.
