Description
I entered Bellmora’s most famous tavern, The Drunken Spade, and noticed how abuzz it was this particular evening. I had taken to coming in every Saturday and telling a story to the townsfolk. It was a pretty win-win situation, as I loved recounting tales, and it increased tavern commerce, so I managed to obtain a free drink for me and my friends every now and again.
My friends, John and Temerity, joined me on this night, both finding a comfortable seat near the fire. John slumped into his chair, making a groaning noise as he did so. Tem sat elegantly and with grace. Tem, a tall elf, was beautiful as always, but almost dulled in comparison to John, who was human, but still stunning, the “knight in shining armor” type. They were both kind, patient, and trustworthy. They were amazing friends.
“Max, do you think anyone will show?” John asked, brushing long dark hair out of his face. I smiled.
“They always come, John. Have patience.”
