I really like Robyn Carr's Thunderpoint series but this was so far the slowest and my least favorite in the series to date. I always like Scott Grant, the widowed, single father, town doctor; he works hard and is getting over the sudden loss of his wife. Peyton Lacoumette, breezes into to town looking for a place to repair her broken heart and shattered pride. Peyton is a nurse practitioner with skills beyond Scott's dreams but lucky for him Peyton agrees to a 3 month trial. It's not that I didn't like the story, I just found the middle dragged too much, enough that I put it down many times from boredom. Which is strange as the beginning and end were both great. I give it 3 stars.
