Description

In a realm where power often eclipses morality, the exiled Queen of Faerie grapples with the weight of a life-altering curse. Her return to a kingdom rife with treachery and seduction presents a tantalizing yet dangerous reality. As she navigates the intricate web of loyalties and betrayals, she must confront her own ambitions, pitting them against the remnants of her humanity.

Amidst the dazzling glamour of Faerie, the Queen's journey is fraught with challenges that test her resolve. Every decision feels laden with consequence, compelling her to forge unlikely alliances and confront the ghosts of her past. The vibrant landscape teems with characters whose motives are a blend of desire and deception, heightening the stakes and complicating her quest for power.

As the battle for the throne intensifies, the exiled Queen's struggle serves as a poignant reminder of the cost of ambition. In a world where every choice could lead to redemption or ruin, she ultimately realizes that embracing her humanity may be her greatest strength. The conflict between love and ambition drives her to unearth the true meaning of power in both the mortal and faerie realms.

Definitely a great end. Gosh Jude is terribly frustrating at times, but it makes sense with her experiences and life, and so it's not a bad frustration.I really enjoyed it. The way the story changed directions in the last 100 pages, the way I keep loving how Madoc is as a dad, even with Jude's constant doubt and distrust in him. (Yeah he's made mistakes and done bad things, but in this world, a lot of them are kinda forgiveable). Cardan is great.Definitely a great finale. Loved the politics, the world, and the relationships between the various characters, especially several of the Lord's.

4.75? Absolutely incredible ending of trilogy, I wouldn't change anything. So captivating I've read it in almost one sitting. Development of characters is unmatched, plot twists unforeseeable. I cried happy and sad tears. I was shocked. I was angry. I felt betrayed. Absolute whirlwind of emotions and that's exactly what I expect from any book. I'm going straight to reading deleted scenes and letters from Cardan because I'm not ready to let this story go so soon.
