One of my favourite classical children's books. I grew up watching the 1993 film with Maggie Smith and read the book much later. I have read it at least twice. It is definitely one of those books I will enjoy coming back to later on.

This was delightful and far from perfect.

This is definitely a classic. There are a lot of words I didn't understand but I am so glad. I thought of the world the edition where they have the dictionary in the back for a lot of those words and phrases that might not be so common. The book itself was very good and well-written but for some reason I just couldn't really get into it. I just don't think this book was overall something that I would really only read. This is a book I definitely like if you gave it to me out of the school so I'm about to read it for that reasoning. That reason alone like I did not really like this and it's really upsetting cuz I really wanted to enjoy this book but I just couldn't get into it unfortunately.
