View AllI was thoroughly entertained through every part of this adventure centered around Indian mythology. I loved the easy to follow world-building, the astrology/celestial based lore and magic system, and how fast-paced and action packed it was. There were some weird, modern colloquialisms that did kind of throw me off and didn’t seem to fit within the fantasy world setting here, but I enjoyed that nothing was overly complicated. It was easy to get sucked into and just enjoy the story rather than trying to sift through alot of info-dumping and lore. I loved Suraya’s strong-willed determination for the people she cared for and watching her grow as she discovered the magic inside her. However, I did feel like the control she had over her magic went from nothing to masterful out of nowhere. It ended with a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions, so that along with the “other” POV in the book, has me so anxious for the next book! I’ll for sure be reading more and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple, easy Romantasy to enjoy.
