The world-building is wonderful and draws you into the world as you encounter new faces and old as the duo try to escape the clutches of Mara’s grandfather. Filled with twists and turns, the author Gabriela Houston has given us a sequel and series that is filled with Slavic folklore mixed with good storytelling that’s perfect for anyone who loves a little magic in their lives.
