Did I just find a new favorite author from a 100 page novella? Yes.This was so impactful, brought up so many topics about the human psyche and people as part of a society and societies overall. I'm insanely impressed. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I was a bit disappointed by the initial reveal, because I thought it would ruin the tension for me, but it somehow managed to keep me hooked until the last page.
Once I realised what was actually happening in this book, it kind of took my breath away. It was horrific and devastating and somehow also brilliantly crafted. What season of Black Mirror did this step out of?
Okay, this book was so interesting on so many levels. I was expecting a surface level fun story about this guy taking this quiz. I was just expecting some questions to be weird. It was so much more than that. The first twist, the terrorist attack. My thoughts "okay well shit this is unfortunate to have happened on this exact day"The second twist, it's a FREAKING SIMULATIONMy thoughts "that's messed up"I-...I'll publish some notes.
