Anthony Ryan has masterfully crafted a world that relies on power, this power comes from the blood of drakes, majestic flying creatures that aren’t always friendly. The search for drakes grows, but the drakes are not limitless, and war is on the horizon. A few surprises along the way leave us wondering what will the characters do with the knowledge they’ve sought after?
