Description
Set in the near future, The Wanting Seed is a Malthusian comedy that explores the bizarre world overpopulation might create.
Tristram Foxe and his wife, Beatrice-Joanna, inhabit a skyscraper-dominated society where official family limitation policies elevate homosexuality. As the story progresses, their world devolves into chaos—cannibalistic dining clubs, bizarre fertility rituals, and wars fought without anger. The novel balances extravagant humour with a grim, underlying seriousness, making it both thought-provoking and darkly comedic.
