** SPOILER REVIEW **I was really surprised by this book. I had this preconceived notion about about the MMC going in that he was going to be an arsehole and I was surprised to find he wasn't. Did he mess up and hurt Raven unintentionally? Yes, but he never once (while they were together) intentionally hurt her. A lot of the hurt on both Ares and Ravens sides was due to lack of communication. They had these moments of honesty yet still had many moments that lacked any communication. Their relationship should have started 5 years previous (like they both wanted) but the night where she was with Ares she left early in the morning and her sister sneaked in his room and e it seem that they were together when they weren't and that event and all the ones after lead to a domino affect of terrible situations for Raven and Ares.Hannah and her mom are 2 of the most loathsome characters I have come across in a book in a long time. The hate I feel for them is strong! Even though her dad didn't do anything his inaction when it came to his wife and oldest daughter was just as bad in my opinion. On a positive note I loved the relationship between Raven and Grandma Windsor.I loved that Ares gave Hannah a taste of her own medicine I am just annoyed that it took Ares so long to see Hannah for who she was and kept on letting her get in between him and Raven. While Hannah got some just desserts I was very annoyed with the fact Ravens mother got no comeuppance for all she did to Raven. The fact that her husband stayed with her was a joke to me. Definitely recommend this book.
