Watch young Jim Hawkins grow as a character as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. If you fancy putting on your pirate hat, grabbing a bottle of rum and setting sail across the Seven Seas to the mysterious Treasure Island, then this is the book for you. This classic written by Robert Louis Stevenson is full of extraordinary characters, each one as different as the last. Their personalities are as interesting as the plot itself. When reading Treasure Island you really feel as though you're apart of the crew yourself. The dialogue flows and in your head you can hear the pirate twang. I think Captain Smollett was one of my favourite characters. He's a very wise man and has some of the best quotes by far in the book. It's definitely a classic to be kept alive. Treasure Island was first published in 1883. All this time has passed and it is still a brilliant book.
