Rhys and Bridget. Ugh I'm in love! These two! This was so wonderfully written and Ana Huang is quickly becoming a favourite author. This is my second book (the first being Twisted Love) and I'm so madly in love with her stories! I went in blind, only knowing what was told in the first book, that Bridget is a princess and Rhys her bodyguard. I didn't realize how slow this was going to burn and I'm so not upset. It's told over the course of a few years and we get to see them slowly fall in love. Rhys has a troubled past from his upbringing and the Navy and he is not interested in love. Bridget carries a lot of responsibility as the princess, especially when she finds out she must become Queen - something she didn't want. Through all the troubles they encounter, the sneaking around, the law, these two end up fighting for their love and come out so strong. Such a beautiful read!
