Reread 3 rating: 4.25 stars.I never thought I’d be the kind of person who rereads this book, but I felt this overwhelming need to chase that nostalgic feeling again, the one I had the very first time I read it. And honestly? It still hit. That familiar comfort, that emotional pull, that quiet ache, it was all there, just like before. That said… I’ve read a lot this year, and with every book, my standards have quietly (and maybe unfairly) climbed higher and higher. So while this was once a solid, unquestionable 5-star read for me, it didn’t walk away completely untouched this time around. It slipped to a 4.25, and it hurts me to admit that.Because here’s the thing: some of the choices, especially the way they acted together, just didn’t sit right with me anymore. I found myself pausing, squinting at the page, thinking, why am I supposed to be okay with something this cruel? Maybe past-me was more forgiving. Present-me? Not so much. The dynamic still had its magic, but a few moments crossed from angsty into unnecessarily harsh, and I couldn’t unsee it.Still, even with my side-eye and raised expectations, this book holds a special place in my heart. It didn’t lose its soul, just a fraction of its shine. And honestly? That’s probably more about how much I’ve changed as a reader than anything else.── .✦Rereading Twisted Lies for the third time was like going back to a toxic ex you know will hurt you, but you still love them anyway. This book still has that addictive pull, the tension, the atmosphere, and Christian Harper being… well, Christian Harper. Cold, calculating, morally questionable perfection. I love this book. I really do. But oh my God, the lying.°˖➴ Christan Harper:Christian’s lies were never dark-romance sexy mysterious to me, they were anxiety-inducing, patience-draining, full-on eye-roll worthy lies. At a certain point, it stopped being intriguing and started feeling repetitive and exhausting. Like, sir… we understand. You’re secretive. You have trauma. But did we really need this many layers of deception? Every reread makes it more obvious that half of those lies could’ve been handled with far less emotional damage and about twice the communication.°˖➴Stella:And yet, annoyingly, this book still owns a piece of my heart. Stella remains such a warm, steady presence, and the contrast between her light and Christian’s darkness is still one of the strongest dynamics in the series. Their chemistry? Unchanged. Still electric. Their quiet moments together? Still soft in that way that hurts a little. And when Christian finally lets his guard down, after emotionally tormenting everyone involved, it hits every single time.── .✦I dropped it to 4.25 stars because loving a book doesn’t mean being blind to its flaws. The lying dragged on for too long, some conflicts felt stretched just for the sake of angst, and on a third reread, the cracks are louder than the magic. But even with all of that? I still devoured it. I still highlighted scenes. I still felt things. And honestly, that says everything. The thing about this series is that it’s become weirdly controversial. These days, everyone either hates it or dismisses it entirely, and I get why. The hype has aged, the constant raving feels tired, and this kind of romance probably doesn’t deserve to be put on a pedestal anymore. But as someone who’s read a lot of romance, I still have a soft spot for it. There’s something about these cheesy, over-the-top stories that just works for me. They’re familiar, comforting, and they give me that warm, fuzzy feeling that not every book needs to justify or intellectualize. Sometimes I don’t want groundbreaking or subversive, I want cozy, predictable, and emotionally safe. And this series, flaws and all, still delivers that for me.So yeah, I complained, I sighed, I got mad… and I still loved it. Because Twisted Lies is flawed, frustrating, and addictive, just like Christian Harper himself. And honestly? I’ll probably reread it again.── .✦Christian Harper built their entire relationship on lies and manipulation..✦ ݁˖ He didn’t just hide parts of himself, he controlled her reality..✦ ݁˖ He watched her for years before ever meeting her, knowing her habits, fears, dreams… while she knew nothing. That is actually insane and creepy..✦ ݁˖ He engineered their meeting and relationship instead of letting it happen naturally..✦ ݁˖ He used his power and connections to quietly control situations around her life, her safety, her career, even her apartment, without her consent..✦ ݁˖ He held the truth about who he really was and how deeply he had inserted himself into her world..✦ ݁˖ Worst of all? He let her fall in love with a version of him that wasn’t fully honest, knowing damn well how betrayed she’d feel once the truth came out.So when Stella found out, it wasn’t just “oh, you lied.”It was “you took away my choice.”She loved him freely, while he loved her obsessively but selfishly at first. And that’s why the lying part hits so hard. Because Stella didn’t deserve secrecy masked as protection. She deserved transparency, especially from someone who claimed to love her more than anything.Christian does redeem himself, and his love is rea, deep, consuming, unwavering. But the damage? Yeah. That was earned.>>> ──────── .✦Re-read 2024: It's absolutely my favorite book of the Twisted series, with TWISTED LOVE OFC ✨️❤️
I cherished Christian and Stella and delighted in watching them develop, mature, trust, love, and gain self-assurance. Stella was a kind and endearing person. I adore how she evolved and gained more self-assurance after meeting Christian. She felt like herself with Christian. felt liberated and brave enough to speak and do whatever she pleased. She was confident that, unlike her family, who constantly criticized and denigrated her, she would never face judgment or disgrace from Christian. They shared moments of cuteness, sweetness, and sexiness! They were a great slow burn couple who weren't hurried or fast! possessed excellent tension and chemistry. I had fun reading it because of the engaging plot!
Phew, finally done. My first ana huang’s book, and i’m so pleased with myself. I purchased this book, because I love thick books, and when I sat down to read the story, it got me engaged, and the stalker situation just made everything so much more exciting. Maybe I have read too many dark romances, but back then when these books were all hyped up, I couldn’t read past one word, but now, i’m so glad I have finally grown in my journey, that helps me explore more and more about myself and the interests I invest in, Christian is so much more than what he lets on, and the blurb isn’t even fitting the whole story, I loved this book, but I still need to go reminisce about everything after just finishing this book, loved it so, so much.
mi libro favorito de la saga, muy hermosoooooooooo, mil veces recomendadisimo
They're so cute, and I love that we get to see the other couples children in the end.❤️

All four books seems to be the same with different characters
4.5 ⭐️It took me a long time to finish this book. The reason why is that this book is long. Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun reading it, but I didn't feel like reading this book all the time. That's why I did it so long before I finished it. But Stella and Christian are like, Wow, the development of these characters I love it. I'm going to read more of her books
