Up Against the Boards

Jesse Malone, a former hockey player turned sportswriter, finds himself at Liberty Tavern, pushed there by a friend's encouragement. Though he’s left the rink behind, the ghosts of his glory days linger, making it hard for him to settle into a quieter life. The tavern, full of familiar faces and old stories, becomes both a refuge and a reminder of what he used to be.

As he navigates the ups and downs of his new world, Jesse encounters unexpected challenges and people who make him question his path. With each visit, the tavern reveals layers of camaraderie and heartache, forcing him to confront what it really means to be on and off the ice.
